A group of 36 architect students from University Islam Antarabangsa (UIA) Malaysia accompanied by some senior lecturers was on a study tour in several cities in Iran from 18 April until 1 May 2011. The students spend most part of their visit in Esfahan to study and appreciate the wonders of the architectural design of Iran ancient civilization. While in Tehran, the students took a tour of the Embassy. After a welcoming remarks by Amb. Sadik Gany the HOC took the opportunity to brief the students on the role and functions of the Embassy. They were later treated to a brunch. Malaysia and Iran signed a MoU on Educational Cooperation in July 2010.
