The Embassy joined fellow members of the ASEAN Committee in Rome (ACR) and ASEAN Dialogue Partner embassies, to celebrate the 58th ASEAN Day, hosted by the current ACR Chair, Thailand, at their Embassy on Friday, 3 October 2025. Dato’ Zahid delivered special remarks during the event, underscoring Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025, the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, and key priorities leading up to the 47th ASEAN Summit later this month.
The vibrant celebration also highlighted the rich diversity of ASEAN cultures, featuring a buffet of traditional dishes from all ACR countries. Malaysia proudly showcased its signature cuisines - nasi lemak bunga telang, kari ayam kentang, and onde-onde.
