An Aidil Fitri Open House Celebrations hosted by YB Dato' Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, Minister of Tourism and Culture Malaysia was held on 29 July 2015 at the Malaysian Pavilion at EXPO Milano. The event also saw YB Dato’ Lee Chee Leong, Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI) attend the celebrations.
Guests were then entertained by the Istana Budaya cultural troupe where they performed several Hari Raya themed performances. They were also treated to a sumptuous Hari Raya lunch where delicacies such as Nasi Minyak, Ketupat, Rendang, Sate, Kuah kacang and many more were served. The food was prepared by a Malaysian chef brought from Malaysia by MATRADE for the whole period of EXPO.
During lunch YB Minister MOTAC and Deputy Minister MITI took the opportunity to mingle around with the guests and discuss several ideas on cooperation in the tourism sector. Italian Business people and professionals appreciated the opportunity to meet with YB Minister MOTAC, YB Deputy Minister MITI and TYT Dato' Ambassador at the event as it allowed them to exchange thoughts and ideas on the current bilateral relations between Malaysia and Italy.
The Open House Celebrations was well received by Italians as they were impressed with the concept of open house which further strengthens relationship and unity among the various races in Malaysia.
