To further strengthen Malaysia-Italy multilateral cooperation, Amb. Zahid on 3 May 2024 called on Ms. Alessandra Molina, Deputy Director-General for the United Nations and Human Rights, of Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Among the matters discussed were the candidatures of both countries in various multilateral bodies, UN Security Council reform, the Universal Periodic Review mechanism of the UN Human Rights Council, and overall effective functioning of the multilateral system.
