On 23 November 2023, Amb. Zahid met with the Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) Project Team in Torino. The team, led by Lt. Kol. Azman Aris, comprises of 6 Royal Malaysian Air Force/Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) officers. The Project Team briefed on the MPA work scope and milestones, their respective roles and functions within the team, and their collaboration with Leonardo Aircraft Division.
Amb. Zahid also took the opportunity to meet with the family members of the Project Team, to inquire about their welfare, and to extend the continued assistance of the Embassy in their settling-in process and stay in Italy.
