On 18 November 2010, H.E. Dato’ Ramli Naam officiated the seminar “La Malesia nei Nuovi Mercati Emergenti” in Naples, Italy. The Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Naples was the figure behind the organization of the successful business and investment seminar. In his opening remark, H.E. Dato’ Ramli Naam spoke about government policies to promote Malaysia overseas, highlighting the ever-increasing potential for business and investment opportunities for Italian companies in Malaysia. He also took the opportunity to brief the participants on Malaysia’s New Economic Model (NEM) and the Government Transformation Programme (GTP), which will drive development and economic growth and transform Malaysia into a high-income economy.
The speakers during the event were representatives from the Malaysian External Development Corporation (MATRADE), the Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) and Tourism Malaysia, Milan.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for Italian businessman and investors to engage in dialogue with the representatives from the relevant Malaysian authorities. Additionally, it was also a valuable platform to promote greater bilateral collaboration, enhance awareness of opportunities in Malaysia and act as a focal point for Italian market players to explore opportunities for business and investment expansion.
