Showcasing Malaysian talent and culture, the Embassy organized on 12 April 2024 the “Concerto di Amicizia - Concert of Friendship, Malaysia and Italy”. In collaboration with Viva Opera, Malaysia, 10 singers and a pianist, led by acclaimed soprano Maestra Cecilia Yap, performed a selection of Italian and French arias and songs, as well as Malaysian classics such as “Balik Kampung” and “Getaran Jiwa”.
The audience comprised of members of the Italian parliament, diplomatic corps, media, cultural organizations, university students, and Malaysians in Italy.
The event highlights the close bonds of friendship, people-to-people interaction, and of cultural exchange and sharing between Malaysia and Italy.
