On 25 January 2024, Amb Zahid delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of a programme organized by the Italian Diplomatic Academy entitled, “Future We Want: A Global Initiative for Young Leaders”.
The programme is a Model United Nations (MUN) conference intended to expose future young leaders from all the world to diplomacy, international relations and the United Nations, as well as to raise awareness and interest in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In his remarks, Amb emphasized the importance of each individual being able to make a difference in the world, and how change can happen through diplomacy, collaboration, respect, mutual understanding, and empathy.
