On 9 February, Dato’ Zahid called on Ms. Alessandra Molina, Deputy Director-General for the United Nations, Human Rights, and International Organisations of Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, to present Malaysia’s candidature to the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) for the term 2030-2032.
They also discussed global human rights developments, priorities for both countries in the HRC, and strengthening the overall effective functioning of the multilateral system.
