On 15 October, Dato’ Zahid participated as a panelist in a roundtable entitled “EU–Indo-Pacific: Searching for a New Relation”, as part of the Festival della Diplomazia 2025.
The discussions explored the European Union’s evolving engagement with the Indo-Pacific region, including individually with the countries of the region, and with regional organisations such as ASEAN.
In his presentation, Dato’ Zahid reflected on the EU’s relations with the Indo-Pacific region, and emphasised Malaysia’s continued commitment to constructive dialogue and partnerships, for peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.
