On 26 February 2026, the Embassy took part in Phase 1 of the Education Diplomacy Programme organised by Global Action, an NGO committed to raising youth awareness on diplomacy and international relations. As part of the initiative, Ms. Nidyakala Manian, First Secretary, Mr. Mohd Syarkawi Bin Ariffin, Second Secretary, and Ms. Giulia Girlando, Communication Assistant, visited IIS Via dei Papareschi for an engaging outreach session with the students.
During the presentation, the Embassy introduced Malaysia’s historical background, governance system, cultural richness, economic landscape, and foreign policy priorities. Particular emphasis was placed on the longstanding bilateral relations between Malaysia and Italy, highlighting cooperation in areas such as trade and culture.
The session concluded with a lively and interactive Q&A segment, where students posed insightful questions on Malaysia’s multicultural society, national development policies and tourism.
The Embassy looks forward to welcoming the students for Phase 2 of the programme, scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
