The Embassy bid farewell to Mr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Wahab and his family who departed Rome today, 13 November 2024. Mr. Rahman served as the Agriculture Attaché at the Embassy since 21 November 2021.
Throughout his posting in Rome, he had served, among others, as the Chairperson of Asia Regional Group of the FAO from July to December 2022; Member of the FAO Programme Committee from July 2023 to November 2024; Alternate Member of the FAO Staff Pension Committee from January 2024 to November 2024; and Chairperson of Commission II of the 43rd Session of the FAO Conference in July 2023.
He made tremendous contributions in the various roles he held in the United Nations Rome-based Agencies, and made the Embassy and Malaysia proud. The Embassy wishes Mr. Rahman and his family the best in their future endeavours.
