The Embassy held its first formal inter-agency meeting of the year on 27 January 2025. The Embassy comprises of representatives from the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defence, and Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security based in Rome, and representatives from MATRADE and MIDA based in Milan. Additionally, Tourism Malaysia Paris covers the Italian tourism market.
Together, we outlined an exciting year ahead to strengthen Malaysia-Italy bilateral relations, and elevate cooperation in diplomacy, trade, investment, defence, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges. A lot of activities and events are coming up in 2025, as we continue to build stronger connections between Malaysia and Italy.
The Embassy also welcomed Mr. Amizan Samsudin, Deputy Director of Tourism Malaysia Paris who just joined the team on 20 January 2025.
