Today’s Malaysian Food Fair at the Embassy was a vibrant showcase of culture, community, and cuisine. Organised by PERWAKILAN Rome (the Ladies Association of the Embassy of Malaysia in Rome), and with support from the Embassy, the event also welcomed the participation from the Embassy of Malaysia to the Holy See.
The fair attracted a diverse crowd, including fellow Malaysians, friends of Malaysia, diplomats, representatives of international organisations, and members of the local community, all coming together to enjoy the rich tastes of Malaysia.
Guests enjoyed a tempting variety of Malaysian favourites including nasi lemak, laksa Sarawak, rendang daging, satay ayam, mee goreng, roti jala with kari ayam, and ayam goreng berempah. Traditional sweets and snacks such as agar-agar lumut, kuih bakar, kuih apam, kuih bingka ubi, karipap, and popiah goreng were also featured, along with classic drinks like teh tarik, kopi and sirap selasih. A range of Malaysian-made crafts and food items were also available for sale, offering guests a little piece of Malaysia to take home.
