On 28 April, Ms. Nidyakala Manian, First Secretary, met with Mr. Kuhan Kandiah Chelvanathan, Partner Director of Yayasan AFS Antarabudaya Malaysia, and Mr. Raffaele Porciatti, Coordinator from AFS Intercultura Italy. Discussions focused on strengthening Malaysia-Italy educational and youth exchange programmes, as well as fostering deeper people-to-people connections between both countries through intercultural engagement.
As part of the global AFS Intercultural Programs network, Yayasan AFS Antarabudaya Malaysia is a non-profit organisation that has promoted intercultural learning and youth exchanges for over 65 years. The longstanding partnership between Malaysia and Italy through Yayasan ASF Malaysia and ASF Intercultura Italy has enabled more than 641 Malaysian and Italian students to participate in exchanges over the decades, creating meaningful cross-cultural understanding.
