On 3 February 2025, Dato’ Zahid met Prof. Roberto Tottoli, Rector of the Naples University L’Orientale. The University is the oldest school of Oriental Studies in Europe with more than 40 languages being taught at present.
Discussions during the meeting focused on potential cooperation on Malaysian studies including language, history, culture and international relations; student exchange; and accreditation.
Also present were Ms. Nidyakala Manian, Second Secretary, Ms. Anna Ceppaluni, Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Napoli, and Ms. Eleonora Testa from the Embassy; and Prof. Pietro Masino, Assistant Prof. Ubaldo Iaccarino, and Dr. Francesca Moro from the University.
