From 4 to 6 May 2026, Mr. Anwar Faiz Othman, First Secretary (Agriculture), participated in the NEXT Milan Forum 2026 in Milan, a global platform that brings together young talent and future leaders from around the world, including civil servants, civil society representatives, think-tank members and business leaders.
This year’s edition gathered more than 1,000 young leaders from over 60 countries. The programme featured high-level dialogues, interactive plenary sessions, and closed-door workshops and masterclasses covering key issues such as peace and security, sustainable and fair growth, human rights and people empowerment, energy and green transition, food security, artificial intelligence and digitalisation.
The thematic discussions were enriched by distinguished speakers including: Ajay Banga, President of the World Bank; Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the IAEA; Benedetta Berti, Secretary General of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly; Kailash Satyarthi, 2014 Nobel Laureate; Philippe Aghion, 2025 Nobel Laureate; Anna Marks, Deloitte Global Chair; Lisa Monaco, President of Global Affairs at Microsoft; and Luca Parmitano, a European Space Agency astronaut.
The NEXT Milan Forum 2026 was co-hosted by the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI), Università Bocconi and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), with Deloitte as the Official Knowledge Partner.
