Dato’ Zahid welcomed at the Embassy today Mr. Dodi Mohammad of Alta Moda and Tradisi Busana PR, to learn about an industrial immersive programme in Italy for prospective shoe designers/artisans from the Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (CENTEX).
The purpose of the programme is to allow the students to learn hands-on Italian shoe making techniques, work with industry experts affiliated with high-profile brands, and gain international industry exposure to contribute to the development of the Sarawak shoe industry and empower its creative industry. The programme, which forms the last phase of their internship, aims to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to eventually establish their own shoe labels, while also promoting sustainability and ethical practices in the industry.
