YAB Deputy Prime Minister, Dato' Sri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has made working visit to Rome, Italy from 29 November - 2 December 2015. He was accompanied by his wife Datin Sri Hamidah binti Khamis and senior officials of the Prime Minister's Department and Ministry of Home Affairs while Wisma Putra was represented by Y.Bhg. Dato' Ibrahim Abdullah, Deputy Secretary General, (Bilateral Affairs).
The Working visit was undertaken with the objective to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries. It was also held with aim to learn on how the Italian Government to handle security issues such as terrorism, serious and organized crime as well as migration.
