The Malaysian delegation at today’s opening of the World Food Forum (WFF) 2024 - Dato’ Zahid, Mr Abdul Rahman, and our newly arrived First Secretary (Agriculture), Mr Anwar Faiz Othman.
Mr Anwar reported for duty this morning, and is attending his first meeting at the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).
His roles and responsibilities include supporting Malaysia’s active participation in the Rome-based international organisations - the FAO, the World Food Programme (WFP), and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). We wish Mr Anwar the best in his new role.
The WFF serves as the premier global platform to actively shape agrifood systems, and seeks to forge new paths of action and multi-sector partnerships for agrifood impact at the local, regional and global levels to achieve a more sustainable, resilient, inclusive and hunger-free food future for all. The theme for this year is “Good food for all, for today and tomorrow”.
