22 March 2025 – The Embassy of Malaysia in Japan was honoured to deliver a lecture at the 161st Talk Salon organised by the Ryokuen Toshi Community Association - Japan’s first resident-led urban community development organisation. Representing the Embassy was Mr. Jeffry Meyer, First Secretary (Information & Public Relations).
During the event, Mr. Jeffry delivered an engaging lecture entitled "Malaysia Truly Asia". He introduced the audience to Malaysia’s vibrant multicultural society, rich traditions, and key historical milestones, while also highlighting the strong and growing ties between Malaysia and Japan. Following the lecture, a lively interactive Q&A session was held.
A particularly heartwarming moment was Mr. Jeffry's meeting with several Japanese participants who had previously lived and worked in Malaysia. These individuals, fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, shared their fond memories and personal experiences, underscoring the deep and lasting bonds between the peoples of both countries.
The Embassy greatly values opportunities such as these and remains committed to deepening public diplomacy efforts, building greater mutual understanding, and strengthening the longstanding friendship between Malaysia and Japan.
