21 Feb 2023 – H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany attended the 314th ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Meeting at the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in Tokyo, Japan. It was the first meeting for 2023 which saw ASEAN Member States share their views on domestic and regional development as well as the upcoming programs/events organized for ACT family.
All ASEAN Heads of Mission attended the Meeting except for Viet Nam which was represented by its Chargé d'Affaires (CDA). During the Meeting, all ASEAN Member States reiterated their full commitment to ensure the success of the Commemorative Summit of the 50th Year ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation in which will be held in December 2023.
The Meeting was followed by a talk by H.E. Eiji Yamamoto, former Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam and Timor-Leste.
