25 May 2023 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, attended the 40th JAMECA-MAJECA (Japan-Malaysia Economic Association and Malaysia-Japan Economic Association) Joint Conference which was held at ANA Intercontinental Tokyo. The event was also attended by H.E. Ambassador Mr. Katsuhiko Takahashi, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia; Mr. Tsuyoshi Nagano, President of JAMECA and YBhg. Tan Sri Azman Hashim, President of MAJECA; as well as business communities of both countries.
H.E. Ambassador Dato’ had the honour to deliver the congratulatory message by The Right Honourable Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, during the opening ceremony. In his remarks, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that Japan has been a trusted partner and important investor to Malaysia. The collaboration between the two countries during the pandemic and recovery phase, especially in overcoming supply-chain disruptions, and disaster management know-how, had been most encouraging and paved a way for even stronger bonds.
The Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt appreciation and best wishes to the organiser for the success of the 40th JAMECA-MAJECA Joint Conference.
