Madam Jazliza Jalaludin, wife of the Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan was one of ten participants in the 8th Annual World Gardening Fair held at Hotel Okura Tokyo from 2 to 6 May 2007. Themed 'Garden of Serenity', Malaysia's garden showcased the natural beauty of a pristine tropical rain forest, complete with a soothing waterfall. Water lilies spread across the water surface, filling the pond with colour and vibrancy. While ferns, hibiscus and anthurium brought the garden alive, jasmine released an intoxicating yet sweet scent, making Malaysia's 'Garden of Serenity' an attraction to many admirers!
About 22,000 visitors visited the Fair which was graced by the presence of Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado, during the opening ceremony. Held during the Golden Week, the Fair was indeed a nice event for Japanese and foreigners alike to marvel at the flora of the world.
