As 2008 draws to a close, H.E. Ambassador Dato' Mohd Radzi Abdul Rahman, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, his wife, Datin Jazliza Jalaludin and senior officials of the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo had a luncheon gathering with about 100 Malaysian students and Malaysians working in and around the Kanto region, Japan. The event was held at
Prior to the lunch, Dato' Radzi addressed the guests. He reminded them of their respective responsibilities and commitments either as students or as professionals. He also encouraged them to support and participate in activities organized by Japan-Malaysia friendship associations initiated by members of the local communities. By joining these friendship associations, besides expanding their circle of acquaintances, members get to establish useful networking that can help them in their profession or training, as most of the local members of the friendship associations have credible positions in their respective organization or companies. Dato' Radzi also urged Malaysians who have not registered with the Embassy to do so to enable easy contact in times of emergency.
Dato? Radzi also took the opportunity of the occasion to encourage the students and other Malaysians to develop the spirit of volunteerism as a contribution to the society.
