25 October 2024 – The annual ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) Golf Tournament was hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore in Japan at the Narita Golf Club. The tournament brought together representatives from all ASEAN embassies in Japan, with Team Malaysia sending the largest number of participants.
Overall, the Embassy of Malaysia claimed first runner-up of the tournament. H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, won the Team Leader Category, while Mr. Mahathir Hussin Shaukat secured the first runner-up position in the individual category.
The event not only fostered friendly competition but also strengthened ties among the ASEAN member states in Japan, promoting camaraderie and collaboration in the spirit of regional unity and further enhancing diplomatic relations through this engaging and enjoyable sport.
