AIDIL ADHA IN TOKYO AND TELE-CONFERENCING WITH THE PRIME MINISTER
The Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo held Aidil Adha Prayer at the Embassy's multipurpose hall on 17 November 2010 which was attended by about 250 people, mostly Malaysians who were either working or studying in Japan and their family members. The prayer was led by Major Khidzri Hj. Ahmad, Assistant Defence Attaché of the Embassy.
An Aidil Adha gathering was held immediately after the prayer. The guests were feted to Malaysian delicacies such as nasi briyani, nasi himpit, daging masak hitam, ayam masak kurma, jelatah, kuah kacang as well as raya cookies and Malaysian sweets.
The Embassy officials led by the Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan and his wife, together with some Malaysian students then participated in a tele-conferencing session with YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia and YABhg. Datin Sri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Prime Minister. The brief interactive session enabled the Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan to update the Prime Minister on the well-being of Malaysians and Malaysian students in Japan. The Prime Minister and wife then offered words of advice to Malaysians living abroad.
