The Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo held Aidil Fitri Prayer at the Embassy's multipurpose hall on 20 September 2009 which was attended by about 500 people, mostly Malaysians who are either working or studying in Japan and their family members. The prayer was led by Major Khidzri Hj. Ahmad, Assistant Defence Attaché of the Embassy.
Following the prayer, Mr. Zakri Jaafar, Chargé d’Affairs a.i. of the Embassy of Malaysia delivered a short remark conveying Aidil Fitri’s greetings to those present.
Light refreshment was held after the prayer with delicacies such as nasi briyani, nasi himpit, rendang, kuah kacang and raya cookies and agar-agar were served to the guests.
