6 September 2024 – H.E. Mejar (B) Mansor bin Zakaria, Member of the Kedah State Executive Council and Chairman of the Housing, Local Government and Health Committee, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan. Also present was Dato’ Dr. Haji Nadzman Mustaffa, State Deputy Secretary (Management) and a delegation from Kulim Municipal Council. H.E. Mejar (B) Mansor and his delegation were in Tokyo for a working visit aimed at enhancing their understanding of sustainable and smart city practices.
During the meeting, H.E. Mejar (B) Mansor discussed the Kedah state government's initiatives to implement sustainable urban development strategies. He expressed a keen interest in learning from Japan's innovative approaches to urban planning, waste management, health and green technologies. The meeting concluded with a commitment to fostering ongoing dialogue and cooperation to achieve shared goals in sustainable development.
