Courtesy call by H.E. Nikolay Nozdrev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Japan

18 July 2024 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, welcomed H.E. Nikolay Nozdrev, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Japan, and congratulated Ambassador Novdrev on his new position. The two Ambassadors discussed the current state of bilateral relations, geopolitical developments, and Malaysia’s interest in joining the BRICS economic bloc. H.E. Novdrev reaffirmed the Russian government’s commitment to supporting Malaysia’s chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025.
