6 June 2023 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, received a courtesy call by H.E. Senator Dr Wan Martina binti Wan Yusoff, Vice Chairman of the Special Select Committee on Sociocultural, Communication and Education, Parliament of Malaysia (JKPK SKOP). H.E. Senator Dr Wan Martina was accompanied by members of JKPK SKOP - H.E. Sen. Datuk Lim Pay Hen, H.E. Sen. Ms Rita Sarimah Patrick Insol and H.E. Sen. Mr Jaziri Alkaf Abdillah.
During the call, H.E. Senator Dr Wan Martina briefed H.E. Ambassador Dato’ on the purposes of their working trip to Japan. Both sides also exchanged views on the current Technical and Vocational Education Trainings (TVET) in Malaysia.
JKPK SKOP is one out of three select committees in Senate, Parliament of Malaysia. It plays an important role in shaping Malaysia’s aspiration in sociocultural, communication and education system.
