13 March 2024 – The Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Japan, H.E. Witchu Vejjajiva, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan. In his opening remarks, Ambassador Dato’ Shahril congratulated Ambassador Witchu on his appointment and reiterated his commitment to work hand in hand with ASEAN colleagues to build a brighter future for the Southeast Asia region. Both Ambassadors also discussed ASEAN-Japan relations, activities under the ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT) as well as challenges and opportunities for mutual growth and development. The Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo would like to extend a warm welcome to Ambassador Witchu and wish him every success in his tour of duty.
