29 July 2024 – Following the successful visit to Malaysia in July 2024, H.E. Yamaguchi Natsuo, Chief Representative of Komeito Party, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, to express his appreciation to the Embassy. H.E. Yamaguchi was accompanied by Ms. Takeya Toshiko, Chair of the Komeito’s Women’s Committee.
During the meeting, H.E. Yamaguchi discussed the outcomes of his visit to Malaysia and expressed amazement at the country's development, highlighting Kuala Lumpur's impressive skyscrapers and the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system in the city centre. H.E. Ambassador Dato’ thanked the party leader and expressed his anticipation for high-level visits from Japan to Malaysia, and vice versa in the near future.
