29 January 2024 – The Melaka Historic City Council led by Mr. Mohd Hisham Tambi Ahmad, Director of Finance Department paid a courtesy call on Mr. Anwar Udzir, Deputy Chief of Mission. The delegation included a number of councillors, heads of departments as well as senior officials of the city council.
During the call, Mr. Mohd Hashim briefed the Embassy on the focus of their working visit to Japan which include waste management, emergency response, maintenance of roads as well as crime surveillance. Apart from the briefing on bilateral relations, the DCM and other officials of the Embassy also took the opportunity to share the local municipality practices with regard to city management.
