16 May 2023 – Mr. Ken Moriyasu, Diplomatic Correspondent of Nikkei Asia, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, at the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo. Mr. Radzween Abdul Razak, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy was also present during the call.
Mr. Moriyasu expressed his appreciation for the opportunity given to meet H.E. Ambassador Dato' Shahril. Both of them exchanged views on various developments including the current geopolitical dynamics, brief on updates the upcoming Group of Seven (G7) Summit in Hiroshima, and the final preparations leading to the Nikkei International Conference “The Future of Asia” which will be held from 25 to 26 May 2023.
H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Shahril thanked Nikkei Asia for the continuous support and cooperation extended to the Embassy over the years and expressed the Embassy’s readiness to work closely in order to ensure Malaysia’s continuous involvement in future Nikkei Conferences with Nikkei Asia.
