2 February 2024 – The Sabah’s Ministry of Community Development and People’s Wellbeing visited the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo to express its appreciation to the Embassy for coordinating their working visit to Japan. The delegation was led by Ms. Maria Chong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry and accompanied by Ms. Haslina Ismail, Director of Sabah Women’s Affairs Department (JHEWA), Mr. Jais bin Asri, Director of the Sabah Welfare Services Department as well as officials from the Sabah Council of Social Services. The delegation was received by Mr. Anwar Udzir, Deputy Chief of Mission as well as Mr. Radzween Abd Razak, Minister-Counsellor and Mr. Md Jeffry Joe Meyer, Second Secretary of the Embassy.
During the working visit, the delegation had a chance to visit among others, the National Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Club of Japan where they were briefed on advocacy activities for career women in Japan.
