19 September 2024 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, received a courtesy call from the PETRONAS Representative Office (Japan). The delegation was led by Mr. Ezhar Yazid Jaafar, Chief Representative, who introduced the newly appointed Chief Representative, Mr. Khairuddin Khalik, along with Mr. Ariff Edry Adnan, the Deputy Chief Representative.
During the meeting, the PETRONAS team briefed the Ambassador on their ongoing projects and future initiatives in Japan, highlighting their contributions to the energy sector and commitment to sustainable practices. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for PETRONAS' efforts in promoting Malaysia's energy expertise and looked forward to further enhancing Malaysia-Japan partnerships in the energy sector. Both sides emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration in achieving energy security and sustainability goals for both nations.
