23 April 2024 – Prof. Dr. Jeffery Too Chuan Tan, President of Malaysia AI Robotics Society (MARS) and Managing Director of Asia AI Robotics Research (A2R2), paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan. He was accompanied by Mr. Derrec Chan, CEO of A2R2.
During the call, H.E. Ambassador Dato’ Shahril commended MARS and A2R2 for their participation in the Japan Open RoboCup Competition emphasizing that advancements in robotics innovation and technology will greatly impact Malaysia-Japan relations particularly through the exchange of technology and sharing of knowledge.
Prof. Dr. Jeffery took the opportunity to highlight the upcoming Malaysia RoboCup Open which will take plce in Kuala Lumpur from 5 - 9 September 2024. The event aims to advance robotics education and nurture talent development in the field of science and technology among Malaysians.
