26 September 2023 – H.E. Ir. Yusuf bin Abd Wahab, Chairman of the Special Select Committee (SSC) on Infrastructure, Transportation, and Communication, House of Representatives of the Malaysian Parliament paid a courtesy call on H.E. Keiji Furuya, Chairman of Japan-Malaysia Parliamentary Friendship Association and Chairman of Japan-Malaysia Association (JMA). Chairman Yusuf was also accompanied by members of the SSC as well as Mr. Anwar Udzir, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy.
During the call, Chairman Yusuf extended the Government of Malaysia’s appreciation to H.E. Keiji Furuya for his tremendous effort in strengthening Malaysia-Japan relations. Chairman Yusuf also explained the purpose of the SSC’s working visit to Japan and discussed on matters related to infrastructure, transport, and communication. The Parliamentary Special Select Committee was in Tokyo for its working visit to Tokyo from 25 to 30 September 2023.
