Courtesy Call on H.E. Nukaga Fukushiro, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan

28 May 2024 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Nukaga Fukushiro, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan, at the Speaker’s Office. The meeting was held in preparation for the official visit of H.E. Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr.) Johari Abdul, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysia, to Japan on 2-7 June 2024. During the discussion, H.E. Speaker Nukaga commended the active exchange activities organised by the special select committees of the Malaysian Parliament last year. Additionally, the Speaker welcomes the idea of enhancing cooperation in higher education between Malaysian and Japanese universities in the fields of academics and research. The official visit of H.E. Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr.) Johari Abdul, Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysia to Japan is at the invitation of H.E. Speaker Nukaga. It is a testament of close relations between the two countries.
