DINNER WITH MALAYSIAN COMMUNITY IN TOKYO, JAPAN, 14 NOVEMBER 2014

On 14 November 2014, the Embassy hosted a dinner with Malaysian community at the Chancery Building. This program aims at strengthening the relationship among Malaysians and providing the opportunity to interact with the Embassy and agencies’ officers/staffs, as well as locally recruited staffs (LRS) in Tokyo in a friendly atmosphere.

 

The session was attended by home-based staff (HBS) and spouse, headed by Mr Hendy Assan, Chargé d’affaires a.i and Malaysian community comprising of professionals and students in Malaysia. Other agencies in Tokyo including MIDA, MATRADE and Tourism Office were also present at the event.

 

The program began with a welcoming speech by Mr Hendy Assan followed by dinner, interspersed with singing competition and lucky draw. Among the songs sung by the participants including ‘getaran jiwa’ and ‘warisan’ by the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee and Datuk Sudirman Haji Arshad respectively, which either contained patriotism elements, good message or songs that were produced by famous Malaysian artist.
