EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA’S BREAKING-OF-FAST EVENT
WITH MALAYSIAN STUDENTS IN TOKYO, 18 JUNE 2016
A breaking-of-fast event with Malaysian students was held at the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo on 18 June 2016, corresponding to 13 Ramadhan 1437 Hijri. Around 150 people including 100 Malaysian students as well as Embassy staff and their families attended the event.
In his welcoming remarks, HE Dato’ Ahmad Izlan Idris, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan wished all present a blessed Ramadan and highlighted that this event was made possible by the generosity of YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia who made a personal contribution during his recent working visit to Japan from 29 May to 2 June 2016.
After breaking fast at 7.00 PM, the guests performed the Maghrib prayer and then feted at a buffet dinner. The event continued with the Isyak prayer followed by Tarawih and Witr prayers at the Embassy’s multi-purpose hall.
