20 May 2025 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, in his capacity as the Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Tokyo (ACT), hosted a farewell reception in honour of H.E. Heri Akhmadi, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Japan.
In his remarks, Dato’ Shahril expressed the ACT’s heartfelt appreciation for Ambassador Heri’s invaluable contributions and steadfast support throughout his tenure in Japan. Ambassador Heri, in turn, expressed deep gratitude for the friendship and cooperation extended by his ASEAN colleagues and reaffirmed his confidence in the continued strength of ASEAN-Japan relations. A token of appreciation was then presented to Ambassador Heri as a gesture of gratitude for his unwavering support and commitment since his arrival in Japan on 17 December 2020.
