19 August 2025 – The Embassy of Malaysia Club (EOMC) hosted a Farewell Reception in honour of two Home-Based Staff of the Embassy, Mr. Anwar Udzir (Deputy Chief of Mission) and Ms. Ong Jia Jen (Personal Assistant to the Ambassador).
The reception was attended by Embassy officers, who came together to express their deep appreciation for the invaluable contributions of both officers during their tenure in Tokyo. In his remarks, H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan, commended Mr. Anwar and Ms. Ong for their dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to strengthening Malaysia-Japan relations. He also extended his best wishes for their future endeavours.
The EOMC conveys its sincere gratitude to Mr. Anwar and Ms. Ong for their service and contributions, and wishes them continued success in the next chapter of their careers.
