As part of our annual activities under the “Program Mendampingi Rakyat Malaysia” and in conjunction with the Holy Month of Ramadhan, the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo hosted an Iftar and Tarawih on 5 August 2011.
For the breaking of fast, guests were feted to a dinner buffet that included a variety of savouries and desserts for Moreh. Guests also performed the Maghrib, Isha’ and Tarawih prayers and recited the Tahlil, led by the Embassy’s own Assistant Defense Attaché, Major Khidzri Haji Ahmad.
More than 150 Malaysians, including students attended the event which was held in a moderate manner. A counter was also opened for those who wanted to pay alms (zakat).
