8 April 2023 – H.E. Dato’ Shahril Effendi Abd Ghany, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan attended the Japan Graduates Association of Malaysia (JAGAM) dinner as Honorary Patron of Japan JAGAM Branch. The event was sponsored by Mr. P.J. Lim, Honorary Patron of JAGAM Malaysia. Mr. Gary Tang, JAGAM President, as well as Datuk Steven Tan, Chairman, JAGAM Japan, were also in attendance. The event also saw representatives from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan as well as a number of Japanese higher learning institutions including Japan Science and Technology Agency, University of Tsukuba and Waseda University in attendance.
Held in Tokyo, some 80 JAGAM members and students were treated to an array of traditional Malaysian Nyonya cuisine prepared by Malaysian Chef Ellen. The signature fruit of Malaysia, Musang King Durian, was also served to the delight of those present.
