Effective 24 June 2020, foreign patients, along with ONE escort who wish to enter Malaysia, are required to comply with the following procedures during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, in the following order:
- Register with the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC). MHTC will then submit the information to the Immigration Department of Malaysia for approval.
- Once approval is granted from Immigration Department, MHTC will issue a Letter of Approval that is required to be presented upon arrival at Malaysia's entry points.
- Test NEGATIVE for Covid-19 through the PCR Covid-19 Swab Test WITHIN THREE (3) days BEFORE entering Malaysia.
- 14 days of home-quarantine will not be required as the patient and escort will need to head directly to the hospital managed by MHTC after arrival.
The entry permission is EFFECTIVE from 24 June 2020
