JENESYS 2025 Malaysia – Japan Academic Exchange, 8 December 2025

8 December 2025 – Ms. Nora Azlinda Jaapar, Counsellor at the Embassy attended the reporting session of the JENESYS 2025 Malaysia – Japan Academic Exchange Program. Ten Malaysians from various higher education institutions together with participants from other ASEAN Member States participated in the program from 2 to 9 December 2025. All participants have gained significant cultural insights and valuable experiences during their visits to the University of Tsukuba and Sano City in Tochigi Prefecture, where the participants stayed with their host families for several days.

 

The program established a structured framework designed to facilitate interactions among youth of Malaysia, ASEAN and Japan, and aims to build lasting relations through people-to-people exchanges. Various activities throughout their stay in Japan featured a curated selection of experiences designed to cultivate profound cultural immersion, enabling participants to gain deep insights into Japanese life, beyond typical tourist experiences, by learning about daily culture, traditions and values, while sharing their own.This program is not just an academic exchange, but it is a journey of cultural discovery, mutual respect, and the formation of long-lasting personal and professional connections among participants.
