Malaysia Day Golf Tournament (MDGT) 2016 was organised by the Embassy of Malaysia on 23 October 2016 in conjunction with the National Day of Malaysia and Malaysia Day.
The tournament was the second tournament hosted by HE Dato’ Ahmad Izlan Idris, Ambassador of Malaysia to Japan in his capacity as the Patron of Embassy of Malaysia Golf Club since early 2015.
A total of 48 golfers comprising of Malaysians, Friends of Malaysia as well as 5 ASEAN Heads of Mission participated in this year’s tournament, a two-fold increase compared to last year's participation.
The tournament which ended at around 6.00 PM has provided the opportunity for the Ambassador and other officials of the Embassy of Malaysia to establish rapport and foster closer relationship with ASEAN Heads of Mission, Malaysian nationals residing in Japan as well as with Friends of Malaysia.
