14 January 2024 – Malaysia’s number one 3D-animated blockbuster movie – Mechamato went on silver screens in Japan!
Mr. Anwar Udzir, Deputy Chief of Mission attended the Mechamato Movie Gala Premiere Screening at the AEON Cinema THEATUS in Chofu. The event was hosted by Mr. Mohd Nizam Abd Razak, the founder of Animonsta Studios and featured the voice-over actors of the movie, local media as well as the local anime enthusiasts.
Mechamato Movie made a history as the first Malaysian animated film to penetrate the Japanese market and will begin screening in over 30 cinemas in Japan starting from 19 January 2024. According to Mr. Nizam, Animonsta Studio plans to bring the Japanese-dubbed version to Mechamato fans in Malaysia to enjoy the Japanese version of the movie. The Mechamato series currently being broadcasted on Japanese television at 1830 hours on every Friday on Tokyo MX channel.
